Former US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr Ben Carson, has reflected on his close relationship with Donald Trump, as he continues to dominate the primary ballots.
The former POTUS secured the first two victories across the states as he took over 50 per cent of the votes in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
As the GOP primaries continue in South Carolina on February 24, front-runner Donald Trump is storming ahead of competitor Nikki Haley in the polls.
According to the latest data, Trump is leading the polling by 63 per cent, with Haley trailing behind at 24 per cent.

As the former US leader prepares for a possible third win in South Carolina, questions have been put to Trump about who he will choose as his running mate and potential Vice President.
Donald Trump has declared he is in "no rush" with his selection, and claimed it "won't have any impact at all" who he chooses.
Trump told Fox News his top candidate is a "very good person" and people "won't be that surprised" by his choice, but he is only "25 per cent sure" he will pick them.
Speaking to GB News America, ally and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson told Nigel Farage that Trump has "good political instinct" and his choice will be a "very good pick".

Dr. Carson told GB News America: "He and I are pretty much peas in a pod. Philosophically we're very different personality wise, but there were no difficulties whatsoever working with him.
"We understood things very much the same way. And when I dropped out, that was the reason that I endorsed him quickly because becoming President of United States for me was not a great desire."
He added: "He checked the boxes that needed to be checked in terms of understanding the economy, understanding the regulatory burden, understanding that there was an administrative state that was antithetical to the principles of the founding of this country.
"And he followed through appropriately. I was very happy to help him with that."
When asked by Nigel Farage if Donald Trump will have the ability to "turn America around" following Biden's administration, Carson claimed Trump will "give it the old college try".
Carson claimed: "It's going to be very difficult and it's probably going to take a substantial amount of time and it's going to be important for him to help people to recognise that we've had an opportunity to see do two different philosophies side by side - his first administration versus the Biden administration with very different ideological vents.
"Which one of those pathways would you like to continue, not just for four years, but for a significant amount of time beyond that?
"Because I think there's a deep bench of younger people of a different generation who can carry on very ably."
