The Antichrist Is a Nice Guy

Eck published an analysis of the Antichrist on Caminante-Wanderer.Blogspot.com (6 May).

- Not the idols of paganism are the true idols, but the idols of possession, prestige, pleasure and power; slavery is embodied in them.

- The devil rules and holds people in bondage through the law of sin, and is therefore called "the prince of this world" (John 12).

- Christ was not interested in exchanging one religion for another, but he wanted to go to the root of the human problem: the human heart.

- Christ did not confront the kings of his time, who were mere puppets, but the One who gave them their orders. Christ didn't confront the rich, but the money that created them; he didn't confront sinners, but sin, which he destroyed on the cross.

- The Saviour came to "revolutionise" the world, that is, to bring it back to where it was before the Fall. "Re-volvere" in Latin, applied to the planets, means to return them to their true course.

- The "revolutionary work" of the Church, her saints and martyrs, has increased with time.

- In contrast to this revolution, a similar but opposite figure appears: the Antichrist, a kind of double of Christ, an evil twin brother so similar that he could be mistaken for him.

- The Antichrist appears as the restorer of the old world, returning the sphere to its fallen state and attacking the work of Christ.

- While Christ restores heaven and earth through humility and the cross, the Antichrist does so through pride and apparent success.

- Some imagine the Antichrist as someone who destroys everything in his path and eats children with skewers and barbecue sauce, but such an appearance wouldn't appeal to anyone: what politician would base his election campaign on the promise to bring ruin, pestilence, war and destruction?

- To win over the people and be "democratically" elected, the Antichrist will offer "economic prosperity" and satisfy the selfish desires of the masses in exchange for their loyalty.

- He will perform "miracles" and human perfection to attract those who believe they are the best and the new gods and deified people, while the faithful of Christ will be persecuted as "madmen" and "criminals".

- The Antichrist will present himself as their brother and everyone will share his "values" in "brotherhood".

- The Antichrist will be the greatest ruler of all, but not like in the Brown or Red Socialist tyrannies, because he is not satisfied with forced obedience, he wants voluntary obedience and longing, as his pride demands.

- The followers of the Antichrist want to be gods, but at the same time they renounce deification.

- They think they love themselves, but they hate themselves, and by thinking of their own interests, they become more and more miserable.

- The devil and his chosen one will show all their power of seduction. They will give people everything on earth, a false paradise, all in exchange for a knee - until he gets the vote of the people. And as in politics, there is no obligation to fulfil what was promised during the election campaign.

- The revolutions that have been unleashed from 1533 to the present day are reactionary attempts to restore the power of the idols and their master.
