I posted this before but cannot be overstated: "Mary is the vessel and tabernacle containing all mysteries. All that was hidden from preceding generations was made know to her. Even more, most of the wonders of the Divine plan of salvation depended on her." Saint Gregory the Wonderworker
Jan 1 "Praising God at the End of the Year" We post the reflection of the day from the Magnificat. It's titled, "Praising God at the End of the Year" and written by Pope Benedict XVI. He was pope from 2005 to 2013. He died in 2022. We praise God at the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year. Best wishes and blessings to our readers. On the last day of the year the Gospel proclaims: 'In the beginning….' Because 'the Word became flesh' and dwells among us, every moment is a new beginning. Dec 31 We welcome the New Year 2026 with the Church Fathers We begin the New Year, January 1, 2026, celebrating the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God. We do so with the Church Fathers. The reflections and quotations come from the book titled, Advent and Christmas with the Church Fathers by Marco Pappalardo. Happy New Year to all our readers. Introduction "We might ask: why exactly did God choose from among all women Mary of Nazareth? The answer is hidden in the unfathomable mystery of the …
In an interview with the German weekly Die Tagespost on December 18, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa discussed the situation in the Holy Land. Key points: - Since the October ceasefire, active fighting has stopped, but living conditions remain unchanged. - In Bethlehem, things are somewhat different because of Christmas. We celebrated in a normal and festive way, with lights and music, so people could breathe again for a moment. - In Gaza and the West Bank, however, living conditions remain very difficult socially, economically, and politically. Ninety Percent of Christian Families Are Confessionally Mixed - Ecumenism is a pastoral, not a theological, issue. - We must continue on the path toward Christian unity, knowing that it is a long journey that cannot be rushed. - We need a common voice on global issues such as peace, justice, and human dignity. - Perhaps one day we will even share a common calendar, but we must take our time. - While some priests on both sides tend toward excessive …Zvimwe
One day, a teacher decided to share a personal lesson with her students—and a reminder parents should hear as well—about why bullying, insults, and humiliation are real harm. She told them this story: “Before class, I stopped by a grocery store and bought two apples. They looked almost identical—same color, nearly the same size. At the beginning of the lesson, I asked the kids: ‘What’s the difference between these two apples?’ They were quiet. There really wasn’t much to see. Then I picked up one apple and said to it: ‘I don’t like you. You’re an ugly apple.’ And I slammed it onto the floor. The students stared at me in shock. Next, I handed that apple to one student and said: ‘Find something you don’t like about it—and throw it down, too.’ The student did as asked. Then the apple was passed from child to child. And everyone found something wrong: ‘Your stem is weird.’ ‘Your skin looks gross.’ ‘You’re probably rotten inside.’ And each time, the apple was thrown onto the floor …Zvimwe
Trump Praises the Pope’s “MAGA Brother”: On 30 December, President Donald Trump hosted Louis Prevost, the brother of Pope Leo XIV, at a private gathering at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump introduced Prevost and his wife, Deborah, to the guests. Trump expressed his admiration for the Pope's brother, recalling that when the new Pope was elected earlier this year, television coverage showed him outside his home surrounded by MAGA signs — a moment that Trump said made him "love this guy". A vocal Trump supporter, Louis Prevost has drawn attention for political posts that contrast with his brother’s positive views on immigration.

Witness the hatred and demonic animosity aimed at faithful Catholics praying the Rosary in reparation here. Father Gabriel Amorth, who has served as chief exorcist of the Vatican, has emphasized the importance of prayer and meditation (and especially the Holy Rosary) in the spiritual combat. The following is taken from the March-April, 2003 issue of “Echo of Mary, Queen of Peace”: The recent Apostolic Letter of John Paul II, "Rosarium Virginis Mariae" (released last October 16) encourages all Christians to turn back to the prayer strongly recommended both by the latest Pontiffs and recent Marian apparitions. Paul VI called the Rosary a compendium of the Gospel. To make it more complete, John Paul II added the 'mysteries of light' to cover Jesus' public life. Padre Pio called the Rosary beads a weapon of extraordinary power against Satan. One day a colleague of mine heard the devil say during an exorcism: "Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the …
"13. (7) The Holy Spirit espoused Mary and produced his greatest work, the incarnate Word, in her, by her and through her. He has never disowned her and so he continues to produce every day, in a mysterious but very real manner, the souls of the elect in her and through her."
[Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort – XVII-XVIII Century AD; Montfort-sur-Meu, France/Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, France; Total consecration to Jesus through Mary] “II. To find the grace of God, we must discover Mary 6. It all comes to this, then. We must discover a simple means to obtain from God the grace needed to become holy. It is precisely this I wish to teach you. My contention is that you must first discover Mary if you would obtain this grace from God. 7. Let me explain: (1) Mary alone found grace with God for herself and for every individual person. No patriarch or prophet or any other holy person of the Old Law could manage to find this grace. 8. (2) It was Mary who gave existence and life to the author of all grace, and because of this she is called the “Mother of Grace”. 9. (3) God the Father, from whom, as from its essential source, every perfect gift and every grace come down to us, gave her every grace when he gave her his Son. Thus, as St Bernard says, the will of …Zvimwe

If St. John the Baptist were preaching today... A Voice Crying Out in the Wasteland of the West Repent! For the order of God has been cast aside, and the land staggers beneath the weight of its rebellion. You ask why peace has fled your homes, why authority is mocked, why every bond dissolves into struggle. I tell you plainly: it is because self-will has been enthroned and the order of God despised. Once, authority flowed downward like living water. God ruled. Christ reigned. The Church taught. Fathers led. Women obeyed their husbands, children learned obedience, and households stood firm. This was not tyranny—it was order. It was not degradation—it was harmony. It was not silence—it was peace. But when men rejected the highest authority—when the world defied the Church and scorned her crown—every lesser authority soon followed. What began as rebellion against the Vicar of Christ became rebellion against kings, then fathers, then husbands, then any rule at all. The Protestant revolt …Zvimwe
Catholic Oratory Inaugurated in Argentine Senate: The Argentine Senate inaugurated a Catholic oratory within its institutional headquarters, dedicated to Saint María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, also known as “Mamá Antula.” The ceremony was presided over by Vice President and Senate President Victoria Villarruel and attended by civil and ecclesiastical authorities, including the Apostolic Nuncio to Argentina, Archbishop Mirosław Adamczyk, and the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, Father Pedro Cannavó, along with senior Senate officials. Villarruel said the oratory — a space for prayer and reflection — will progressively incorporate Marian devotions from different Argentine provinces, such as Our Lady of Itatí, Our Lady of the Valley of Catamarca, and Our Lady of Luján, reflecting the federal character of the Senate. Victoria Villarruel attends Holy Masses at an FSSPX chapel in Buenos Aires.
