The Vasko home is full of religious icons. Some of them have seasonal significance and some don’t, but all of them are inside the home for now.
“I had a Blessed Mother statue sitting out here,” Steven Vasko said.
He placed the statue just below the window of his family’s Robinson Township condominium.
“Yeah it was taken,” Vasko said. “The association – they stole it.”

He’s kind of right. The homeowners association did have someone remove the 150-pound cement statue from the spot.

Unless you want statues of the buddha or pagan symbols next door, be careful what you wish for. If you want to evangelize your neighbors, invite them to your home. I really don't like when people provoke a reaction and then cry religious persecution. They will lose in the court of law, because they broke the rules they agreed to live by. I suspect that it wasn't even a religious issue, but a restriction on outdoor statues.

I'm not sure about this one. I think that the law would support the homeowners association. The statue was not on the man's own property. But it is sad that anyone saw the statue as a problem. And the article says he is being fined for $4000? That is too extreme.
