Many dioceses across Europe, North America, and Asia have seen significant increases in Catholic baptisms and conversions this Easter. The strange thing is that anti-Catholic media including New York Times, Washington Post or CNN advertised this trend. The most significant increase was reported in France, where 21,386 catechumens were baptized during the Easter Vigil. The total included more than 13,000 adults and over 8,000 adolescents, marking the highest figure ever recorded in the country. Outside Europe, large numbers were also reported in parts of Asia. In Hong Kong, approximately 2,500 catechumens were baptized, while Singapore reported 1,089 catechumens entering the Church. In North America, several major dioceses published substantial baptism figures. The Archdiocese of Toronto reported 1,584 catechumens, while Vancouver recorded around 650 catechumens. In the United States, diocesan figures included approximately 900 catechumens in Richmond (Virginia), more than 680 in …Zêde

Share In a recent New Scientist interview titled “The Global Food System Is Breaking - Here's Why,” Oxford professor Paul Behrens called the crisis a needed "global disaster" and the "silver lining" that will finally push through long-planned dietary shifts and break farming's link to fossil fuels. From the horse’s mouth: they openly say the coming hardship is "the push they've been waiting for," with "dietary changes" labeled as "the biggest lever." Watch as the conversation quickly shifts from real problems to using this crisis as leverage for technocratic control over what ends up on your plate. Actually ruminants convert vegetation undigestible to Man into high quality protein. Chickens and pigs do the same with "food waste". Get rid of factory farms though.

The Passion of the Christ movie. WCBOhio on Nov 14, 2015 This is an old episode of What Catholics Believe from 2004. It was recorded shortly after the release of Mel Gibson's film, "The Passion of the Christ". Due to poor picture quality the program was never shown. Hoping there may still be some interest in the discussion however, it was decided to salvage the footage by converting it to black and white and make the best of what was there. The audio is still quite good. The host was James Urling, a Cincinnati area attorney. At the time, What Catholics Believe was broadcast on Time-Warner cable, hence the running time to fit inside a half-hour slot (this is true of all the older series of shows). Also like all the older shows, this one too is small in format. This is due to the deprecated analog NTSC broadcast standards that were used at the time.

"I know many bishops, and almost all of them — mostly from Western Europe — tell me that they also want to ordain married men," said Bishop Johan Bonny of Antwerp in an interview with Katholisch.de on 2 April. In March, he announced his intention to ordain married men as priests by 2028. "I have not yet heard a Catholic bishop tell me, 'Even if the Pope gives me the possibility, I will not ordain married men.' They know this in Rome as well." Bishop Bonny worked in the Vatican for eleven years and is familiar with the different interests at play: "In Rome, they understand the situation here, and I know bishops and cardinals who support this solution, at least in Western Europe." He believes that the ordination of married men as priests is "a great necessity". "The consensus is there." Until the 1960s, a diocese such as Antwerp's had almost 1,500 active priests, as well as several hundred more who were retired. Now, the diocese has fewer than 100 priests, half of whom come from abroad. …Zêde
Many priests went from Antwerp to The Netherlands for their formation, because they didn't want to become social workers in Antwerp. Others went to France. Many were discouraged. At some time praying the rosary was prohibited in the Flemish seminary in Leuven. All conservative movements are discouraged or prohibited. The dioceses in Flanders constantly praise women rights, homosexuality and blaim the celibacy for ... And then you say there are no vocations, and you need to protestantisize the priesthood, in a paid job for married men (state paid in Belgium), and already hinting for woman priests.... But they cannot find men for the married diaconate. If you do not pray for priests, if you do not honour them, if you degrade the sacraments ... then go and do something else, mgr Bonny.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: "They had to destroy ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine… because if they had acknowledged that it was effective in anybody, the whole $200 billion vaccine enterprise would have collapsed."
Daniel Davis on YouTube has a recent interview with Robert Barnes, a constitutional lawyer who has done commendable work, including defending the Amish during the lockdowns. In it he has a short expose on the handcuffing of JFK junior going on the current administration. Very unsettling. Carry on Christian soldiers. Mother Mary strengthen us.

The baptismal profession of faith. 26. Is there still any reason why thou shouldst doubt, when the Father clearly calls to thee in the Gospel and says, This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased ; when the Son calls, on whom the Holy Spirit showed himself as a dove : when the Holy Spirit also calls, who descended as a dove: when David calls, The voice of the Lord is upon the waters : the God of majesty has thundered : the Lord is upon many waters : when the Scripture witnesses to thee that at the prayers of Jerubbaal fire descended from heaven, and again, on Elijah praying, fire was sent which consecrated the sacrifice? 27. "27. Do not consider the merits of persons, but the office of priests. And if thou lookest at merits, consider the priest as Elijah; look at the merits of Peter, too, or of Paul, who received this mystery from the Lord Jesus, and handed it on to us. Visible fire was sent to them, that they might believe ; for us, who believe, one who is invisible acts : to them for a figure, to us for ad- monition. Believe, therefore, that invoked by the prayers of the priests the Lord Jesus is present who says, Where there are two or three, there am I also ; how much more where the Church is, where his mysteries are, does he deign to bestow his presence !"
"32. Peter was clean, but he needed to wash his feet; for he still had sin by derivation from the first man, when the serpent tripped him and led him into trespass. His foot is washed that hereditary sins may be removed; for our own sins are remitted by baptism."

Needs Smarter Sycophants April 4, 2026 nytimes.com/2026/04/04/opinion/trump-bondi- … Kristi Noem is gone. Pam Bondi is out. If there’s going to be a fall guy for our ill-starred regime-change operation in Iran, it’s likely to be Pete Hegseth, whose prewar overconfidence is being highlighted in hostile leaks from inside the administration, emphasizing how he was “caught off guard” (never a good look!) by the scale and boldness of the Iranian response. The former secretary of homeland security, the jettisoned attorney general and the embattled secretary of defense have often seemed like President Trump’s ideal cabinet officials: selected for televisual looks and energy, lacking any political constituency apart from Trump himself, serving without qualm as pure conduits of his will. So their struggles offer a lesson for Republicans contemplating service in this administration’s 33 (but who’s counting?) remaining months: What Trump appears to want and what he actually wants are not exactly …Zêde

Following government directives, public Easter services in Dubai have been cancelled since Good Friday. The regime's excuse is that tensions in the Middle East are escalating. Dubai has two Catholic parishes - Saint Mary's and Saint Francis of Assisi in Jebel Ali. Both have confirmed the closures on their websites and will remain closed "until further notice". Saint Mary’s Church is one of the largest Catholic parishes in the world, with around 30,000 members, many of whom are Filipino workers. On Good Friday, many Catholics who had not been informed of the closure were seen praying outside on the pavement instead. Easter liturgies were only being streamed online. Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, acknowledged worshippers' disappointment at missing Holy Week celebrations. #newsAfvbsxvwah
From the descent of Christ to hell we may learn, for our instruction, four things: 1. Firm hope in God. 2. We ought to conceive fear and to rid ourselves of presumption. 3. We ought to be full of care. 4. The fact is for us an example of love. — St. Thomas Aquinas
