Unisciti a noi.

“Anyone who has not prayed before the Christ of Javier does not know what it means to pray.”
It is the "Smiling Christ" of the Castle of Javier, Spain, the birthplace of Saint Francis Xavier,
the universal patron of missions. At 18, he left his home and never returned. Driven by his evangelizing zeal, he traveled the Far East, India, Japan, and other places, and died at the gates of China, on the island of Sancián.

Brazil raises a large 54-meter Virgin of Fatima
A large monument to Our Lady of Fatima 54 meters high, higher than Christ the Redeemer, was inaugurated and blessed in the Nossa Senhora de Fátima neighborhood, in Crato, state of Ceará (Brazil).
After a mass presided over by the Bishop of Crato, Monsgn. Magnus Henrique, musical presentations were held by Sister Kelly Patrícia, one of the founders of the Hesed Institute, and P. Fábio de Melo.
The place where the new monument is located has been called "shire of Our Lady of Fatima," according to the mayor's office, and "also has the replica of the chapel of the apparitions" of Our Lady of Fatima, in Portugal.

The shocking pilgrimage of Scouts of Europe in Vézelay
In November 2025, some 3,500 members (males, young or not so young adults) of Scouts of Europe from different countries made a pilgrimage to the basilica of Vézelay, France, on its 50th annual pilgrimage.
The temple was built in the 11th century, and achieved great growth in the 13th century. It was considered the place that kept the relics of Santa María Magdalena and is one of the beginnings of the French Way to Santiago de Compostela. (It suffered destruction by the Huguenots of the sixteenth century and the anticlerical revolutionaries of the eighteenth century).
After two days of hiking, the scouts arrived at the basilica of Vézelay. In front of her they sang the "Kyrie des gueux" ("Kyrie of the beggars") and fulfilled the rite of knocking on the church door with their canes. The evening continued with a vigil of worship, where numerous priests were available for confession.

The sign of the cross of a young pianist travels around the world
It happened on October 11th shortly before the start of the XIX International Chopin Piano Competition at the Warsaw Philharmonic, Poland.
In the atrium of one of the most prestigious stages in the world, the Polish pianist Piotr Pawlak, during a moment of tension-laden silence before his performance in the semifinals, took his rosary, made the sign of the cross and prayed.
Surprised by the clamor, 27-year-old Pawlak explained that it was an "absolutely natural gesture, I pray before every performance".
The reason? «I always ask for support, because what we do as musicians somehow exceeds our human abilities. I simply did what I always do. I don't hide my faith, and I'm not ashamed to ask God for help».
Born in Gdansk, Pawlak is famous for his ability to combine technical precision and emotional depth and is also linked to Italy. From 2024, in fact, he studies at the International Piano Academy of Lake Como.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s Relics begin US tour at basilica named in her honor
Pilgrims from near and far are converging in Michigan, drawn to the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, just outside Detroit, where the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux are on display. On October 1, 2025, Archbishop Edward Weisenburger and Rector Father John Bettin led a moving installation Mass, with the radiant, glass-encased reliquary gracing the altar. The saint’s relics first arrived in the United States over twenty-five years ago, inspiring the basilica’s dedication to her in 1999. Now, the 2025 tour marks the beginning of a 40-stop journey across 11 states. As detailed on StThereseusa2025.com, her relics will travel to California, Washington, D.C., Texas, Wisconsin, and several Carmelite convents through December.

Nantes Cathedral Reopens Five Years After Arson
After five years of restoration following the 2020 arson attack, Nantes’ Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral reopened on September 27 with a grand celebratory Mass. Bishop Laurent Percerou presided over the first service attended by bishops, the apostolic nuncio, and local dignitaries. The bishop thanked all those who contributed to rebuilding the cathedral, saying their work added to “authentic beauty.” He said the work of “architects, masons, stonemasons, electricians” enabled the reopening of the Cathedral, “still convalescing but standing firm, ready to regain its rightful place in the city.”
