The Heralds of the Gospel announced on April 5 in São Paulo that priestly ordinations will resume in April 2026, following a suspension in place since 2019. 31 acolytes will be ordained as deacons on April 11 and 26 deacons to the priesthood on April 12. The ordinations concern members of the clerical society of apostolic life Virgo Flos Carmeli, which is associated with the Heralds of the Gospel.
