The home of Cardinal Ernest Simoni, 97, in Florence was burgled while he was in Britain. The Albanian cardinal was received by King Charles III at Balmoral Castle on September 15. According to Corriere.it, thieves targeted the Curia-owned apartment in Piazza Duomo where Simoni lives with his nephew Tonin and his family.
