Leo XIV has overhauled the Vatican's financial watchdog, replacing its long-standing board-led structure with a director appointed directly by the pope. The reform, contained in a chirograph published June 30, introduces a new statute for the Authority for Financial Supervision and Information (ASIF). This body is responsible for combating money laundering and supervising the Vatican's financial system. The biggest change is institutional. Until now, ASIF was governed by a president and board - a model resembling those used by many central banks and independent financial regulators. The new statute abolishes that structure. Instead, ASIF will be headed by a director, assisted by a deputy director, both appointed by the pope for five-year terms. The authority's annual report and budget will also be submitted directly to the Council for the Economy. The statute replaces the previous board with a single papally appointed leadership, a governance model that more closely resembles that of …Engeta
FSSPX "Liturgical" Reply for Lacking an Apostolic Mandate: Asked about the Apostolic Mandate in the liturgical rite of the Episcopal Consecrations, a notary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) read a declaration: “It is the Catholic and Roman Church, which has always been faithful to the traditions received from the Apostles, that, in entirely exceptional circumstances, demands that we uphold these traditions — the Deposit of Faith — and transmit them faithfully to all men for the salvation of their souls. From the Second Vatican Council to the present day, church authorities have been acting contrary to the faith and against holy tradition. They will no longer tolerate sound doctrine.”
When asked about the Apostolic Mandate for the Episcopal Consecrations, they justify why they will proceed without it.
GK Chesterton ~ The difficulty of explaining why I am Catholic is that there are ten thousand reasons all amounting to one reason - that Catholicism is true.
On June 27, an Asian cardinal criticized at the consistory the continuing restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite, reports IlGiornale.it. The Cardinal argued that if they were lifted, it would be much easier to attract faithful prepared to leave the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. There are three dozen Asian cardinals. The most outspoken in support of the ancient Roman rite are Cardinals Malcolm Ranjith of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and William Goh of Singapore. Picture: AI, #newsFeyawfwlyc
Bishop Richard Moth, Screengrab youtube Pope Leo XIV named Archbishop Richard Moth as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Northampton after its ordinary, Bishop David James Oakley, was charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a minor earlier this month. On June 30, Pope Leo appointed Archbishop Moth, who currently serves as the archbishop of Westminster and the head of the Church in England and Wales, to temporarily lead the Diocese of Northampton as Bishop Oakley faces criminal charges. On June 24, Oakley, 70, was charged with two counts of rape of a girl under age 16 after being arrested last fall. “I am humbled by the trust which His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has placed in me by assigning me this mission as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Northampton, in addition to my ministry as the Archbishop of Westminster,” Moth said in a statement after the appointment. “I ask those whom I am called to serve to pray for me, that the Lord will continue to give me His …
Burning Crosses at a Polish Festival: On 26 June, during the Bangarang heavy metal festival in Chwałkowo, Poland, a stage performance included the burning of wooden crosses. A firefighter stood by for fire safety. Local politicians and officials condemned the act as blasphemous and disrespectful of religious feeling.
A firefighter stood by for fire safety. Local politicians and officials condemned the act as blasphemous and disrespectful of religious feeling. And yet it was still allowed. Even with a firefighter to make sure it doesn't get out of control. Their only real concern. A lot of people get away with this sort of thing in Poland like Blaspheming against Catholics and GOD. Very few are even fined. Then below we have this mess in Poland. No wonder they don't stop burning of crosses and filthy plays. You will never see this in Russia! It's a crime, and a serious crime to attack any religion in Russia. They won't pretend to be outraged. THEY WILL BE! And off to jail you go! Freedom of religion is one thing they take very seriously. They got caught in their own laws trying to ban freemasons. But working on how to change it without hurting others. That will be one huge challenge they have on their hands. Thankfully there isn't many at all. About 1.000 +. This is why many hate Russia. She destroys …Engeta
01.07.2026 POPE LEO HIDES RATZINGER’S SECRET FROM FR. DAVIDE PAGLIARANI: AG 7 IS ALIGNED WITH EENS AND LG 16 IS NOT AN EXPLICIT EXCEPTION FOR AG7 AND EENS. VATICAN COUNCIL II IS ECCLESIOCENTRIC Pope Leo did not give out the Ratzinger Secret to Fr.Davide Pagliarani. It is: Ad Gentes 7 is aligned with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (Council of Florence 1442) while LG 8, 14, 16 etc are not objective exceptions for EENS or AG 7. Vatican Council II is traditional and not liberal. Vatican Council II is aligned with the traditionalists. Pope Leo is in schism with LG 16 projected as a visible exception for EENS and AG 7. This is irrational. It is not tradition. It is not part of the deposit of the faith. It is not magisterial and apostolic. We now know that it is now Vatican Council II, which says outside the Church there is no salvation (AG 7). AG 7 is placed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church under the tile outside the Church no Salvation. (846). This was Ratzinger’s Secret. The …Engeta
"Our work is not about creating a parallel institution in which everything is the way we want it, but improving what is going on in the mainstream, above all making the Traditional Mass available to as many Catholics as possible. I note this because of the very different attitude of Fr Davide Pagliarani, the Superior General of the Society of St Pius X."
Very good point. The SSPX's position is not about the Latin Mass. It was founded to preserve and pass on the Apostolic Faith. The Latin Mass can exist along side Fiducia Supplicans, Amoris Letitia, etc. The Apostolic Faith cannot.
Italian Bishops Commit to Interfaith State Religion. Worse than Germany: On 25 June, the Italian Bishops' Conference signed an interfaith agreement titled "The Italian Way of Dialogue: Religions in the Public Sphere and for Social Cohesion" together with representatives of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Baháʼí and other religious communities. After the signing, the signatories met President Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinale Palace to present him with a copy of the pact. He welcomed the initiative as a contribution to dialogue and social cohesion.
Amos 7:10-17 “Go, prophesy to my people Israel.” What is best to teach is what is most real. Matthew 9:1-8 “Your sins are forgiven.” It is worthwhile to reflect on the present tense aspect of this statement. God forgives us. Do we forgive ourselves? Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
Pope Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor Lucio Adrián Ruiz, 61, as Secretary of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity. Until now, Ruiz has served as Secretary of the Dicastery for Communication and will assume his new office on 1 September 2026. Leo XIV also appointed Massimo Ralli as Under-Secretary of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity. The transfer of Msgr. Ruiz to “Charity” clears the number-two post at the Dicastery for Communication ahead of the newly appointed female prefect - the divorced and annulled - Montse Alvarado (“It is wrong to Christianise Jews”). Arm in Arm with Pro-LGBT Male Singer Monsignor Ruiz is a priest of the Diocese of Sante Fe, Argentina. He earned a PhD in telecom engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and built his career as a technician for the [failed] Vatican Internet reform at the Dicastery for Communication. The Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Don Davide Pagliarani, has replied to Leo XIV, asking him to take more time before making any decision concerning the FSSPX. "One day, all the difficulties between the Holy See and the Society will be resolved." The letter. The Superior General To His Holiness Pope Leo XIV Ecône, 30 June 2026 Most Holy Father, Thank you very much for the letter that Your Holiness so kindly addressed to me. I have been deeply touched by Your paternal solicitude. For a long time, I had hoped to have the opportunity of meeting You in person, in order to express to You directly our sincere desire to serve the Church. Unfortunately, that opportunity has not presented itself. I ask only that You consider the sincerity of this intention, which is in no way feigned. Paradoxically, in the present circumstances, we believe it to be our very duty to do everything possible to mend Christ's seamless garment, torn by forces and pressures incompatible …Engeta
@brhenry You have reached for a very strained reading of the SSPX response. Something along the order of what we would expect from bomb throwers. A common sense reading (which is clearly what was intended) would be "Don't act impulsively." The SSPX has never given even the slightest hint that they have ever been looking for a "compromise."
"Kicking the can down the road" has been the problem from the beginning with all disciplinary issues in the Church, including the 1962 Missal sectarian problem. Essentially, the SSPX wants the Vatican to take a modernist "inclusive, all are welcome" approach. Hopefully the Holy Father demands repentance and full reconciliation for years of schism.
Yesterday, Leo XIV wrote to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X. He acknowledged the FSSPX's devotion to Tradition, the liturgy, and priestly formation. He begs them to "turn back" from a prospective "schismatic act", warning of its grave consequences while reaffirming the Church's openness to dialogue and reconciliation. The letter. To the Reverend Father Davide Pagliarani Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X With a paternal heart, and aware of the responsibility entrusted to me by the Lord as the Successor of the Apostle Peter, I address you and, through you, the bishops, priests, seminarians and faithful connected to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. The Church recognizes the devotion to liturgical life, commitment to priestly formation, apostolic zeal and desire for fidelity to Tradition that characterize many people and communities connected to your Fraternity. This has motivated the attentive and generous attitude that my Predecessors have consistently …Engeta
This is political strategy. It has nothing to do with being a "Shepherd." Enough dialogue. We've been dialoguing for 60 years. "By their fruits you will know them." Who would have guessed Our Lord was prophesying with a double entendre.
Prevost tore the union with Christ by persisting in Bergoglios errors, by promoting sodomy, universalism, masonry, paganism, by bowing down to the idols...and now HE pretends to beg for union. Gaslighting at the highest level! But guess what? It works, especially on poor seduced bishops and cardinals! God help them!
Canada Day is a statutory holiday to mark the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867. So on July 1 it's Canada's birthday. For the occasion, Toronto's Cardinal Frank Leo has released a good message. He rightly reflects on the meaning of being human, of freedom and truth. What kind of nation are we building? What are we celebrating? Here's what he says: My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May Jesus and Mary be in your hearts. In the coming days we will celebrate Canada Day, a time when we rightly commemorate what Canada is: a land of peace, opportunity, and security. Gratitude matters, and it is important to recognize our blessings and give thanks. Yet this year, I would invite the faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto to consider a deeper, more searching question undergirding our celebrations: “Who are we becoming?” not only as individuals, but as a nation. Many of the tensions we experience today—our debates, divisions, polarization and uncertainties—…
Cardinal Raymond Burke criticized at the consistory the pro-homosexual Final Report of the Synod’s Study Group No. 9. AdVaticanum.com reports (June 29) that he focused on its call to privilege the "experiences" of homosexuals. Cardinal Burke described the report as manifesting “the very grave difficulty with the current direction and functioning of the Synod” and stressed that it carries weight as official synodal material. He added that, by invoking a “paradigm shift,” the report takes a path divergent from the Church’s perennial moral teaching on the homosexual condition and corresponding acts. Furthermore, the Cardinal defended the Courage apostolate supporting chastity. He criticized the report for slandering such efforts and validating agendas “in open opposition to the traditional moral doctrine of the Church.” He concluded by invoking St John Paul II’s Veritatis Splendor in defence of immutable moral norms. #newsNxgddvhpmu
"Eventually, Our Lady must tread upon Communism and Zionism as she must prevail over every stratagem of the Devil and his army. Indeed, this final victory was plainly promised at Fatima.” Father Feeney
"The final message at Fatima was not yet three weeks old. Forty years later, the fantastic picture is this: Communism sits as the absolute lord of the East, with an empire stretching from Berlin to the China Sea, dominating one quarter of the land area of the world, and a third of the world’s people. Zionism, on the Western hand, stands arrogantly astride the remainder of the world’s powers, with every major head-of-state a self-professed defender of Zionism, every major city a Zionist fund-raising headquarters, and every major Western nation in sustained peril of seeing the cream of its youth killed-off to perpetuate the Zionist state in Palestine. Spectacular as these political considerations are, however, they have been eclipsed in Catholic minds by the horrors which have beset the Church since Fatima. Nothing more pointedly reflects the Jewish inspiration of Communism and Zionism than the vengeance with which they have attacked Our Lord in His Mystical Body.”
I pray that day will come soon. And why I try to get everyone I can to do what The Blessed Mother told us to do. At midnight get up or stay up to say Three Our Fathers to plead with GOD to destroy all evil so Holy Mother Catholic Church and the world will have peace. Standing with our arms in the sign of the Cross. I have skipped several days this year. When before I would miss once maybe twice in a year. So I have been trying harder to pray and not miss them. It's a promise I hope to see. Please say the Three Our Fathers at midnight. And as separate Our Father for The Consecration of Russia to The Immaculate Heart of Mary. If Our Holy Mother told us we should say them, why would anyone ignore it?
