19 Dekanate, 19 Tage: Erzbischof Dr. Udo Markus Bentz bereist in den kommenden fünf Monaten das gesamte Erzbistum Paderborn. Sein Ziel: Land und Leute in seiner neuen Heimat kennenlernen. Dazu besucht Erzbischof Dr. Bentz jeden Tag ein anderes Dekanat und will mit Hauptamtlichen und Ehrenamtlichen ins Gespräch kommen, Projekte kennenlernen, von Herausforderungen hören. Der Start: im Dekanat Waldeck. Bad Wildungen, Edersee, Bad Arolsen und Korbach - bei vier Stationen im Dekanat Waldeck machte Erzbischof Dr. Udo Markus Bentz Halt. Love one another, as I have loved you. Homily for the 6th Sunday of Easter, Year B.
In today’s gospel Jesus tells his disciples that they are to love each other as he has loved them. And how has he loved them? Well, John’s account of the Last Supper begins with the washing of feet. When Jesus washed the feet of his disciples he was teaching them an important lesson: “So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.” But the greatest manifestation of Jesus’ love for his disciples occurs the following day on the cross: “A man can have no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends.” Here we come to the ultimate test of love, and that test is sacrifice. And Jesus makes the ultimate sacrifice; he lays down his life.

Suore Maddalene via da Vigevano, dopo la mobilitazione arriva la Madre generale
Questa mattina, giovedì 2 maggio, la Madre generale delle suore Maddalene, Franca Barbieri, è arrivata da Piacenza, senza preavviso al convento di corso Genova. La Panda grigia è rimasta parcheggiata nel cortile davanti al convento sotto la pioggia, la Madre è entrata nel convento e ha convocato tutte e sei le suore Maddalene di Vigevano per un incontro andato avanti per oltre due ore. Un'assistente ha prelevato dei documenti in auto, poi è rientrata, la porta è stata chiusa a chiave. Nemmeno la classica campanella del pranzo, puntualissima alle 12, ha interrotto la riunione. Massimo riserbo sulle parole della Madre alle suore: Madre Barbierinon ha voluto rilasciare alcuna dichiarazione. The Twinning of the Holy Sepulcher and the Shrine of the Most Holy Crucifix.
A twinning between the Shrine of the Most Holy Crucifix, of the Capuchin Friars Minor, and the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem was celebrated in Cosenza. An official visit by Brother Stephane Milovitch, guardian of the fraternity of the Holy Sepulcher, to Calabria took place for the occasion. This was a historic event to seal which the Custody of the Holy Land made a gift to the Capuchin Shrine of a relic from Mount Calvary and three relics from Gethsemane.

Inspirada del Cielo, visitó Santa Elena, su madre, los Santos Lugares, con el fin de adquirir el precioso madero en que fue redimido el linaje humano. En la excavación que mandó practicar halláronse tres cruces, conociéndose la de Jesús por los repetidos prodigios que a su contacto se obraron, como fue la curación instantánea de una mujer enferma desahuciada y la resurrección de un muerto.

Elogio: Fiesta de san Felipe y Santiago, apóstoles. Felipe, que, al igual que Pedro y Andrés, había nacido en Betsaida, era discípulo de Juan Bautista y fue llamado por el Señor para que le siguiera. Por su parte, Santiago, de sobrenombre «Justo», hijo de Alfeo y considerado en Occidente como el pariente del Señor, fue el primero que rigió la Iglesia de Jerusalén. Al suscitarse la controversia sobre la circuncisión, adhirió al criterio de Pedro, a fin de que no se impusiese a los discípulos venidos de la gentilidad aquel antiguo yugo. Muy pronto coronó su apostolado con el martirio.
